This month was full of steady learning and progress at our local school. Due to varying learning levels, the classroom was divided into smaller groups. In English, some children focused on writing the alphabet (capital and small letters), while others progressed to learning simple words and practicing introductions, including saying their parents’ names. In Maths, students ranged from learning numbers 1–10 to working on number names up to 1,000. They had regular revision sessions and assessments to reinforce their learning.
In Nepali, students learned basic letters, vowels, three-letter words, and even short stories. Meanwhile, Science lessons covered topics such as living and non-living things, trees, shrubs, and herbs. We also engaged the children through interactive games such as memory card activities and regular Friday movie sessions. Special activities included celebrating World Environment Day by cleaning the school grounds and watering plants, as well as a BMI health check for all students; most were in good health, with only a few minor concerns noted.
