September was filled with playful learning, cultural celebrations and hands-on discovery. Each week carried a theme designed to connect the children with their environment and essential life skills. Across the month, 48 students, including 27 boys and 21 girls across two classes – took part in lessons that blended creativity, academics and cultural traditions.
In early September, the focus was “My Home Environment.” The children created house-shaped collages from recycled origami and natural materials, practiced number concepts through sound and color coding, and joined in the vibrant Saraswati Day ceremony with staff and parents. Together they honored the goddess of knowledge with traditional rituals that blended culture with learning.
Mid-month, the theme shifted to “My School Environment.” The children explored numeracy and literacy through cutting, coloring, connecting pictures and creating pencil artworks with colored sticks. By turning everyday materials into creative lessons, the students not only developed academic concepts but also learned to work together and express themselves.
The month closed with “My Needs: My Food and Drink.” Lessons centered around healthy foods and drinks, with activities like cutting, pasting, drawing and simple number exercises. These activities gave the children a practical understanding of nutrition while building fine motor skills and classroom confidence.
