Small Games, Big Goals
This month, the sports coaching sessions in Tarrafal focused on small-sided games, technical drills and teamwork in action. Despite unpredictable weather, the team showed resilience by cleaning the playground after rain to ensure the sessions could continue. Players engaged in rondo drills, 3v3 matches, body endurance exercises and passing techniques. These drills are all designed to sharpen agility, coordination and spatial awareness.
The focus on side games allowed for more touches on the ball, faster decision-making and stronger collaboration among participants. While no special events took place, the consistency of weekly sessions is laying the foundation for long-term growth in confidence and skill development among these young athletes.
