We were all about identity, senses and celebration at the Bali Gianyar Kindergarten. From self-awareness to sensory exploration, August was packed with vibrant early childhood education moments. Weekly themes such as ‘My Identity’, ‘My Body Parts’, ‘My Five Senses’ and ‘Me & My Family’ provided rich hands-on learning experiences. Children developed fine motor skills through activities like tearing origami, dough shaping, family tree making and drawing their body parts – all while building self-expression and pre-literacy.
The month also included two meaningful community highlights. The 80th Indonesian Independence Anniversary where the students joined in a carnival parade, decorated classrooms in red and white and participated in games and crafts inspired by local traditions.
We also celebrated the 10-Year Anniversary of our Kindergarten. This was a special celebration featuring songs, cake and a healthy buffet with teachers, students and families. We were also lucky to dip our toes into music and art by sharing cultural traditions and received Vitamin A, deworming treatment, and oral/ear checkups during a scheduled health visit from the Gianyar District Health Office. It was a month full of learning, laughter, and love.
