In March, the Greenway School in Siem Reap engaged students in a variety of fun and educational activities that promoted creativity, hygiene, teamwork, and responsibility. Students learned the importance of personal hygiene through a brushing activity, where they practiced proper techniques for healthy smiles.
They also participated in a lesson on clean eating, drinking clean water, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Gardening played a big role this month, with students planting vegetables and flowers, pulling out grass around Chinese cabbages, and learning how to care for plants.
Classroom activities included decorating spaces to create a warm and comfortable environment, making posters, and engaging in creative projects like crafting princess and king crowns from colorful paper. A highlight of the month was a special cooking activity where students made Num Plea Ay, a traditional Khmer dessert with sticky rice flour and palm sugar. They had a hands-on experience mixing dough, shaping dumplings, and steaming them to perfection.
The school also organized cleanup activities, where students worked together to clean classrooms, the school grounds, and the garden. March was filled with enriching experiences that combined learning, creativity, and practical skills, making it a productive and exciting month for everyone.
