April was a vibrant and diverse month at our kindergarten in Gianyar, Bali. The month began with the continuation of our “Professions” theme, focusing on “A Doctor”, where children learned about doctors’ roles and the tools they use. Due to Eid al-Fitr celebrations, schools were closed early in the month, and online learning resumed midweek based on government guidance.

In mid-April, a special event called ‘Gianyar Student Creativity’ was held to celebrate Gianyar City’s anniversary.

Schools paused regular classes to participate in this three-day exhibition, showcasing student artwork and traditional costumes as part of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). The children also enjoyed environmental care activities and sports during this time.

Later in the month, the theme shifted to “Air”. Lessons focused on the benefits of air, and students explored air-related objects and activities. With a parent meeting and a public holiday, the week included both learning from home and classroom engagement, wrapping up a month full of creativity, culture, and discovery.
