This month, our spotlight is on our Kindergarten and Primary School project in Kathmandu, Nepal—a place where young learners are given a strong, nurturing start in life through free, quality education.

Established in 2018, the kindergarten was created as a free educational alternative for economically disadvantaged families in the area. Recognizing the continued need for accessible education, we later expanded to include a primary school, which follows the official Nepalese government curriculum.

The school hosts around 50 students divided across three levels: ECD-1 (Early Child Development 1), ECD-2 (Early Child Development 2) and Primary 1.

With a focus on holistic development, our dedicated teachers and staff not only provide basic education but also nurture each child’s creativity, confidence, and curiosity—laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

April Highlights: A Month of Growth and Milestones

The month began on a serious note as our ECD-1 students sat for their final exams. Despite their young age, they approached the challenge with remarkable enthusiasm and focus. Exams are not just a formality here—they help us assess how well the children are progressing and identify who is ready to move on to the next stage of their education.

After the exams, the classrooms returned to their lively rhythm. Children dove back into their usual routine, and the school echoed once again with stories, laughter, songs, and lessons. This brief return to familiarity helped ease the transition for students preparing to move up a level.

The third week marked an exciting milestone! We graduated many of our ECD-1 students, as they officially moved up to ECD-2, and another school, after successfully completing their exams. A few students remain in ECD-1—either because they are still a little too young or need some extra support—but most have graduated to the next level with confidence. This is a huge achievement for both students and teachers, and we’re incredibly proud of the progress they’ve made.

April ended on a high note as we welcomed several new students. It’s always wonderful to see how warmly the children embrace newcomers, making them feel part of the classroom family from day one.
