The Nusa Penida Sea Turtle Conservation Program had a busy and impactful August, with over 700 turtles fed and cared for across weekly sessions. Everyone took part in essential tasks including tank cleaning, beach cleanups and multiple turtle releases. Each activity supports the health and readiness of turtles being nurtured back to the wild.

In addition to daily care routines, we also joined in community activities like crab catching, Independence Day celebrations and environmental awareness events. It’s a hands-on program where every clean tank and every handful of feed adds up to real conservation impact.

  • 702 turtles fed and cared for
  • 98 sea turtles released back to the ocean
  • Tank cleanings and daily care routines
  • Crab catching + 3 beach cleanups
  • 1 Independence Day celebration
