This month was filled with creativity, care and cultural connection. Students worked alongside foreign volunteers and our teachers who brought fresh energy to the classroom, encouraging them to speak English with enthusiasm and try new activities. Even when mistakes were made, the children showed determination and joy in practicing. We were impressed by their eagerness to learn, hardworking spirit and hidden artistic talents.

A special highlight came when students prepared a traditional Khmer cake called Num Ansom. Normally made for the Pchum Ben Festival, the children had the chance to learn, share stories about their families’ celebrations and take pride in their heritage. Alongside these cultural activities, weekly routines continued – from health and hygiene lessons like brushing teeth and nail care to recycling projects where plastic bottle caps were transformed into classroom games.
