From side-to-side drills and cleaning up the playground to impromptu basketball classes at the pavilion,our sessions in Cape Verde continue to energise the local youth. In early August, over 15 participants joined a week of creative football and coordination games, followed by a hands-on cleanup to keep the play area safe.
Later in the month, we brought a mix of education, sport and reflection. Participants explored Serra Malagueta and visited a local concentration camp site. The week ended with a friendly match showing us the proof that this program balances learning and play in equal measure.
